Why hello there!
It’s Em back at ya with a brand new DIY. When I was younger I was always making scrubs, whether it be for lips, face, body, etc. I’m sure 99.9% of the human race loves coffee, so this coffee one is going to be the start of a long list of scrubs to come. I consider this version to be a nice body/lips exfoliator. You only need four things:
Olive oil-preferably use coconut oil, but whatever you have on-hand
Honey-provides moisture and smells great! Also keeps ingredients together
Sugar-serves as exfoliator and base for scrub
Coffee grains-Good using as is or after you used it. The great thing about this scrub is that you can recycle old grinds. Wear your coffee and drink it too! Smells great, serves as exfoliator, and wakes you up in a jiffy
^A quick note: It does not matter how much of each ingredient you put in, because it depends on whether you like it more grainy or liquid, and how much your container can hold. For example, want it more grainy? More sugar and grains, less oil. Liquidy? Less sugar, more oil. It’s all personal preference.
Viola! In just a couple of steps, you can have your scrub made by you from items you already have in your kitchen. I hope you try this out for yourself, and maybe even come up with your own recipes:)
Scrub on your lips for a minute, then rinse (unless you like eating coffee grains, then by all means, don’t let me stop you)
